Last Weekend of 2007

Met up with Suzie to go Tea Chapter at Tanjong Pagar on sat. Along the way, we were approached if we need help on the bridal photos as we passes by the stretch of bridal shops along the way. (Business must be real bad for them!!) Upon reaching the Tea Chapter, another interesting encounter happened. When Susie ordered a pot of Rose tea, the lady turned to me and asked if she is pregnant. I almost want drop down on the floor laughing man!! The answer is a NO from me and the lady had to explain that pregnant women cannot drink Rose tea due to some reasons. Anyway, it was a good lesson learnt for me. Haha!! So girls outside, better stay a safety distance away from me.
The ambience was nice except that the place was quite packed that day. After a while, we met up with CS & Elaine to have our dinner at Maxwell Food centre. Following that, the four of us proceed to East Coast Park for a "romantic" walk along Bedok Jetty. The main reason I proposed that is to cut costs down due to the recent outings plus the upcoming event tmr. After the walk, we make our way to have pratas at the coffeeshop along NUS. Poor CS, who had to drove all of us around.
Looking forward to the event tmr at Orchard Hotel. Let hope it will be even exciting for the 6 of us!!

理性 vs 感性

Finished planning for my new year eve program. The car had been booked and the hotel had been located. Now I'm only left with where to go for dinner and it's almost completed for this year.
Man can plan but how it turn up eventually depend on the will of God. Having said that, I am still a person that believe in myself at many point of times, and therefore I'm not a person that like surprises especially things that are out of my control.
Realized once again that being too 感性 will cause one to lose their senses, and it's not really a good thing at all. It will only cause one to have too much troubles hence may even cause the health to suffer. On the other hand, being too 理性 may cause people to think that one is too heartless. It seem that no matter how one behave, he can never please all the people surrounding.
If that's really the case, I would rather chose to reduce the 感性 and be more 理性. It will make our life more peaceful and not easily affected by the people or things happening around me. Even if it mean being called too heartless, it would beat being too much sadness on oneself.
The remaining days of Year 2007 will be spent preparing for the program on the last day of the year. I hope to make it a perfect day at least on the last day of the year and to be happily welcoming the first day of Year 2008.

Christmas 2007

Slept for over 12 hours today and Christmas is almost over before I even know it. It seemed that this year, the period of celebration is not really that "happening" after all. Short recap of the recent outings for the past few days.
20 Dec - Watched "Alvin & the Chipmunks" with CS, Elaine & HC at Vivo.
21 Dec - Had a BBQ session at my hse with mostly the guys plus GQ & the joining of meryl at the end.
22 Dec - Watched " The Golden Compass" with Suzie at Cathay at Dohby Ghaut followed by dinner at Meryl's place where we had another round of Christmas celebration.
23 Dec - Watched "National Treasure" with Suzie & Web at Cathay Orchard.
24 Dec - Dinner at Swensen with Suzie, CS, Elaine, Sijia & Web before some drinks at Indochine at Boat Quay. There was some debates about some issues where opinions were shared among the group of people present.

Due to the heavy schedule of going out all these days, I had some heavy headaches today hence was spending my time at home resting.
Reflection - It seem that nothing had really change throughout all these years. It's either a All or Nothing mentality. Maybe I should call it "Perfectionist" mindset. Whatever the case, I don't think I will change for the time being. As I had always know it, even if I know it may be wrong, I will not hesitate to do it if I had to suffer for it. So long as I'm willing to take responsibility for it and not blame anyone for it in future.
Anyway, let me look forward to the coming of Year 2008 and hopefully, all my dreams will come true. Hahaha!!!

I Don't Care!!

Been a long tiring morning today!! Bcoz of someone's last minute pull-out, I had to try high & low to find a replacement for the movie later at vivo. Somehow or rather, I'm starting to feel sick & tired of this type of arrangement. For the time-being, I would rather choose to be a stand-byer instead of the organizer.
I would have rather waste two tickets than tagging along if not for HC last minute join in. This has indeed make the day abit brighter. If this is the way things is going to be for now, I too will chose to go into the winter period for now.

Expectations

Times really flies and another week had passed by. Coming to the end of the year and waiting to welcome 2008. It's been almost 10 months since I last joined my current company. Still in the midst of learning and trying to take on the responsibilities plus handling some of the expectations of some people.
Work schedule for Jan & Mar are out and it seem 2008 will be even busier plus challenging. Anyway, met up with SL & CS for dinner at tamp. Had some chit-chat session where some updates of the programs ahead are shared. Apparently, life is always full of ups & downs and one can never expect the path to be too smooth. The higher the expectation, the greater the dissappointment. Even though we try to understand, we know we can never fully accept the facts. Anyway, if the road is going to be this way, so be it for now then!!
The self portion is getting bigger and who cares whether others will like it or not!! Right now, at least for now, I just want to be true to myself and no matter, what others can say, all words will fall to dead ears.

Exhausted Week

Entered my first D & D at Rolls-Royce on Friday nite at Meritus Mandarin Hotel. Never realised that the "older" people can still be so retro and danced their way through the nite. More than 80% of the crowds went up to the dance floor and shaked their bucks like nobody business. It was simply crazy and wine was consumed like plain water too!! No wonder my legs are still aching at this moment!!
Watched "Golden Compass" wif ck n mich at PS on sat nite before proceeding to Budget Terminal for some tea and supper. Continuously going out simply mean my body is all weak & tired at this point of time.
Sun afternoon was spent with the rest discussing career development at S11 at tamp. Sean & Grace were sharing life after marriage which set many questions popping one after another. That's all for now!!

Be Wary

Congratulation on Bel & Yongwei on their Big Day today. Attended their church wedding at Holy Trinity this afternoon. Everything was almost perfect except for my own tiny mistake committed. I forgot to take my lunch before I went and alas, it was 4 plus before I had my first bite on food.
Anyway, I had expect this week to be relatively quiet since Suzie is on holiday and I did not plan any activities for this week. However, things did not always go the way I planned. Friday night was spent with web, sxxxxa & jxxxxxxr. Had our dinner at Big O Pan at Wheelock where the plates were indeed "Big" but the food portion was quite small. The fish fillet that I ordered could not even fill my stomach half-full at all. But I was lucky compared to web!! He ordered some roast chicken XXXX which he got a surprise when the food arrived. It turned out to be some chicken "dumpling" instead of the roast chicken that he expected. Served him right for not reading the whole menu carefully. Hahaha!!
The four of us proceed to Somerset to have a couple of drinks at Alley Bar where the ambience was better than I expected. The conservation was also interesting as all of us tried to get to know one another better. Sxxxxe & Jxxxxxxr are two girls that I got to know quite recently. However, it seem that rumours or news travelled faster than I can ever imagine. Even before they really interact with me, words of warning had been communicated and these words are " Be Wary". Be wary of what? Of course, Jxxl lah. Hahaha!! OMG!! How interesting people can be at times!! Anyway, I dun think I will take any risk of introducing my future "gf" if any to this bunch of people unless everything is confirmed.
Sat Night was spent at Tea Chapter at Tanjong Pagar which was my first visit wif web, cs, daniel, sophie n sijia. The ambience was great and I would see myself going back there pretty soon. It provides a quiet place for people who simply want to ROC and juz relax. Perfect place for me except for the inconvenient location though.
