Long Long Way

Haven been updating my blog recently and the main reason is of work work & still work. Last friday was spent wif D, HY & JY. Celebrate HY's bdae at Fish & Co at Dohby Ghaut before proceeding to Renezenous (dun know how to spell) Hotel for a drink. Drank almost a whole bottle of red wine and realized that my stamina for drinking was not that great after all.
Saturday was spent at ktv wif HC, Sean & yun in the afternoon. Had our cell at web's place before we catch X-men 3 at Princess cinema. Went to ktv again wif wm, sijia, henry, s, web & mon on sun. S proved once again to be a "dancing queen" while wm maintain her title as "singing queen". However, good times seldom last and while again, it's mth-end closing for me today. Wonder what time can I leave office today? Looking forward to friday once again. Trip seemed to get more and more tiring wif so many unknown circumstances ahead. Made me wanna reconsider my decision but haiz.......we see how lah!!

Time For Everything

Sitting right here in the office really made me look forward to each coming weekend. Weekends are forever short while working will never be enjoyable. Let me recalled how I spent my last weekend and recount the short and pleasant experience that I had.

Hang out ard city hall with ck, hc, s & f. Dinner at Just Noodles and couples of drinks at the bar at Millieum Walk. Seemed like a long long time since the last time I visited a bar.
Sat-20May2006
Movie at TM with lots of people before proceeding to web's place for bbq. Thanks to ck who bought the "healthier" charcoal, I broke my own record of 8 years. The record was taking more than 1 hrs plus to start up the fire. We even had to invite the "ang moh" to start the fire for us and used up more than 10 over starters. By the time food was ready, all had turned into "hungry" ghosts who snatched the food all away. Demand was always higher than supply and people had to stand at the bbq pit to wait for the food. What a magnificiant sight!!
Swimming at the pool after dinner was very relaxing or should I say laying by the pool? Having a glass of red wine in the pool made the night more beautiful than it seem since it was served by a 'pretty' lady -S. (almost vomit oredi)
Had a good conservation with sean, web,george & bel after everyone had left. Different views was brought up and though some of us still believed in our own beliefs, it was a good exchange of views nevertherless.
Time of enjoyment had passed and it's time to go back to work for now once again.

Turning a deaf ear

Had a lot of fun with friends & colleagues over the last weekend. Sitting by the pool wif wm,web & wendy chatting was quite memorable as the ratio changed from 3 guys 1 gal (when alvin was still ard) to 2 gal & 2 guys. Things that left a deep impression to me was perhap the "commando" mosquitoes that managed to penetrate thru my jean and leave their memories on my body.
Four days of stuffing myself with lots of food mean all my effort had gone down the drain once again. (And BBQ is approaching this sat...haiz) Weekday are basically battling thru endless work and doing OT all this while. Wonder when is the last time I left work on time?
One danger of having a busy schedule simply mean that I had not much time to spare for others or perhap even God. Free time would be spent going out with friends which may not be necessary beneficial though important. Doing things the way I want seem to be right though it may be wrong. Stubborn nuts to be cracked which only God can do it. Reaching out seem to be least impt when not much time is left for self & settling problems that drain oneself both inside & outside. Having many thoughts which need time to resolve and refocus. Life seem to be pretty much the same every week with weekdays going to work while being a christian on wkend.
Wonder why I can't seem to hear God nowadays though I knew the reason inside my heart. Forgive me for being stubborn at times cos I still prefer to do things my ways at times. Sometimes people simply need to learn things the hard way which I still strongly believe tat only by experiencing, then one can fully understand & be convinced. The road ahead is still long and rocky, but I know that the Lord my God will deliver me through it though not the way I expect it.

Happy Birthday S!!!

Survived through another week of work. It's S 24th Birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday to my ex-honeymoon partner!!! Ooh, I did it again. Arranged to meet up at Bugis mrt at 7pm but problem is more than 80% of the people were late including me. S had the privileage of having ck, web,mich, laur, xj,danny,eg, gq,henry, meryl,mon, cw and last but not least, ME to celebrate her birthday with her.
Bought her a bouquet of roses (12 only) so that she may remain pretty like the roses. (luckily have not taken my lunch!!) Just wonder why most of the girls like flower....hmm? Proceeded to Blu Jazz once again where people such as xj, mich,danny and meryl were the first timers there but mine was too many times that I can't recalled. Had beers, potato wedgers, kai lan, omelette and most importantly white rice for me. Think I can't really survive without rice!! Before I forget, the plastic bags that I used to cover the roses & my camera were highly commented as too "glamorous" for the occasion.
Left at ard 11.40pm where meryl and I proceeded to 201 for another round of teh terik with ryan from NASS. One funny thing was that meryl commented that it's been ages since she last exercised and she would like to do some soon. The next thing we knew, both of us had to run for 100m to chase after the bus. Though we never manage to catch it eventually, it's a wonder how God answered her wish immediately though not the way we would expect it (better be more careful when we make a wish in future). By a twist of fate, we missed the second bus too and poor ryan had to wait quite a long while before we arrived. Reached home at ard 3am and ended my day with a good sleep.

Running The Rats' Race

Went for my first voting seesion this morning. Nothing special or is it I'm simply too 'bochap' to care about political issues at this point of my life? It's been a long long week and now is the time to recharge for the weeks ahead.
Somehow or rather, we can always plan or think about many things during friday or sat, but my mind will start to turn to 'off' mode when sunday afternoon arrive as it's time to rest and to iron my clothes for the week etc. When monday come, I had to deal with monday blues and prepare myself for the "battlefield" once again.
Work seem to take the most amount of time and the salary seem to be the reason that I work for now. Am I willing to put aside everything I have and to follow God's way for now? The answer is obvious. It take time to learn to trust in the Lord but also greater faith to do things His way and not my way.
Many would like to see changes in the ways they lives but not many are willing to take the risk that come with it. Perhaps we are too used to being protected and shielded from tough circumstances. That's probably the reason people still dragged themselves to work everyday despite the fact they do not enjoyed working. Not many will wake up early in the morning saying "Thank God I'm going to work once again". Or am I simply the only one that hate working?
However the situation may be, let us set our sights on what is to come in future and the reward that awaits us if we continue in our walk with God. With that I will end this entry. May glory and peace be with you all.

Need to Rest

Been a long long week of work. Mth-end on thur till 1.30am and the best part is that we had to come back and work on sat too!! Disaster on fri as everything cropped up here and down eg. diarhoea, urgent meeting.....etc. Had wanted to rest more but due to poor discipline, went for dinner on fri, movie on sat and also ktv on sun.
Watched "Take The Lead" and find it very interesting. Made me to make up my mind to learn ballroom again. (managed to get mh to join me as well...haha!!) A pity s & web can't join us this time round. Haiz!!
Ktv on sun was extremely fun and enjoyable with sean & wm ard. Their voices were "heavenly" compared to mine. But who cares, as long as I enjoyed myself. Realized that the three of us resembles three movie stars- stephen chow, wu jun loo & last but nt least, wu meng ta. All thanks to wm who had such a great imagination.
Helped my uncle to move hse today and having a slight headaches now. Think it's going to be another week of endless work. That's all for now.
